Troilus & Cressida

- Technical Information

For those of you who are interested in the technicalities, our adaptation of Troilus and Cressida was recorded and mixed using the following equipment:

Main Recording and Mixing (Leeds, UK)

Recording took place in a sitting room with limited potential for sound damping (we closed the curtains!), using the following:

  • Computer (laptop): RM NB14 - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz 2.10 GHz 64-Bit 8.00 GB RAM Windows 10

  • Audio Interface: Behringer UMC204HD - Audiophile 2x4, 24-Bit/192 kHz USB Audio/MIDI Interface with Midas Mic Preamplifiers

  • Microphones: Marantz MPM-100 (main microphone), Shure SM48 (when recording two or more actors in dialogue)

  • Software: nTrack Studio 9


Remote Recording

This depended on what the participant had available, with parts then mailed to Leeds for integration during the mixing process. Actual equipment used was as follows:

  • Tascam DR-05 portable digital recorder & an Ibanez ukulele (Strasbourg, FRANCE)

  • iPhone 13 mini using the Voice Over app (Stratford, CANADA)

  • Unknown - Probably an iPad under a Duvet! (London, UK)
